ASHTANGA VINYASA YOGA Ashtanga means 8 limbs, described by Patanjali in Yoga Sutras (Yamas, Niyamas, Asanas, Pranayama, Pratyahara, Dharana, Dhyana, Samadhi). The classes are based on the tradition of Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga in the style developed in Mysore (India). The classes are designed for experts and beginners, as well as for any practitioner looking for a dynamic and energic practice. Ashtanga practice aims at re-aligning therapeutically the body, stretching and smoothing the muscular system and balancing the skeleton system. Throughout the practice the vertebral spine becomes flexible and strong. Asana (postures) are linked by Vinyasa, a transitory movement connected with breath creating an intense heat inside the body cleansing unwonted toxins. Home |
